| Import & Export Currency | ||||
| There is no restriction on the importation
and exportation of any currency into or out of Botswana regardless
of whether it is in notes form or any other form. It is however a Customs requirement that any person entering or leaving Botswana should declare Pula and/or foreign currency bank notes in their possession. The amount of which is equals or exceeds an equivalent of Ten Thousand Pula (P10000) a family Unit must declare any carried by each member if the aggregate in the possession of the family is P1O OOO or more. Travellers cheques and other monetary instruments need not be declared. |
