	Required Documents - Residence Permit Applications
	No application form shall be accepted without the necessary requirements. Form 16 must be completed and signed by the applicant. Labour related applications must be accompanied by Labour Form 1A or 1B Immigration Declaration Form 1 should be completed by the applicant on arrival.

	1. Fresh Employment
	Form 16 Form 4 for both the applicant and children under the age of 18 years Marriage certificate if the applicant is married and wants to include the spouse in his/her application Two passport size photographs for the applicants spouse and children. Birth Certificate of affidavits in lieu. Labour Form 1A

	2. Fresh Business
	Form 16 Form 4 for the applicants spouse and children Marriage Certificate if the applicants is married and wants to include the spouse in his/her application.

	3. Volunteers
	Form 16 Form 4 Two passport size photographs A letter from the organization that he/she will be working for (organizations which fall under the exemption order). Birth Certificate Labour exemption

	4. Missionaries - Baruti
	Form 16 Form 4 Two passport size photographs Letter from their churches The church should be registered in Botswana Birth Certificate Labour exemption Marriage certificate

	5. Change of employment status
	Letter of appointment from the new employer Letter of Release from the previous employer An explanation from the applicant explaining why he/she has decided to change.
